This past week, Epic Games Store users were able to claim three games for their digital libraries: Divine Knockout, First Class Trouble, and Gamedec: Definitive Edition. Now that January 19 has rolled around, those three titles have been cycled out of availability and replaced with Epistory: Typing Chronicles. Epic Games Store users that want to snag Epistory: Typing Chronicles have until Thursday, January 26 at 10:00am CT to do so. At that time, Epistory will be removed from the lineup and replaced by the next free game, Adios.

Epistory: Typing Chronicles combines the game mechanics found in other typing games with a large scale adventure and an impressive origami-inspired art style. It earned mostly positive reviews at the time of its original release in 2016, so any Epic Games Store user that has yet to play it should certainly consider checking it out. Adios, which will be free to claim from January 26 to February 2, is described as a cinematic first-person game. First launched in 2021, Adios also received mostly positive reviews from critics when it first launched.

In Adios, players take on the role of a pig farmer in Kansas who lets the mob use his pigs to dispose of dead bodies. Critics praised the narrative and art style, though the game did receive some criticism for its especially short length. Most gamers can expect to finish Adios in a couple of hours at most, though that makes it the perfect candidate to be an Epic Games Store free game. This way, gamers can appreciate it what Adios does well without having to take into consideration the asking price for such a short experience.
Epistory: Typing Chronicles is available for Epic Games Store users to claim for free now until January 26, while Adios will be free January 26 to February 2. At that point, Adios will be replaced by the next Epic Games Store free game or games, which will most likely be revealed next week. It’s anyone’s guess as to what the Epic Games Store free game will be come February 2, but the announcement will come on January 26.
